Ginger, honey and dijon glazed salmon

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 2 Salmon Fillets
  • Honey
  • Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Lemon
  • A thumb of ginger
  • Broccoli
  • Kale
  • Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Clove of Garlic

Instructions

  1. Before you start blanch your broccoli and chop your garlic. Knife should slide in easily if its cooked.
  2. Grate a thumb of ginger into a bowl (using a teaspoon is easier than a peeler)
  3. Half the lemon, zest half of the lemon.
  4. Add two tablespoons of honey
  5. Add one tablespoon of dijon mustard
  6. Stir until the honey dissolves into the lemon juice
  7. Set a burner to high heat
  8. Use a dry frying pan
  9. Add the salmon skin side down
  10. 3-4minutes on each side, salmon will turn light pink.
  11. When a thin sliver of dark pink remains on the salmon pour over the glaze
  12. 1 minute each side
  13. 30 seconds each edge.
  14. Check its light pink all the way through. Put a lid on the pan and set aside.
  15. Now to stir fry the vegetables
  16. Remove the stalks from the kale
  17. Add oil to a medium high pan
  18. Add broccoli and stir fry for 1 or 2 minutes
  19. Add garlic and stir fry for 1 minute
  20. Add the kale and stir fry until it has reduced in size and wilted down.
  21. Season to taste.

    Hey! This is a really amazing recipe, I tried this recipe last night and I would love to eat this bagel sandwich daily. The sauce was also too yummy in a sandwich. Thanks for sharing. My family love this recipe and want to eat this again. 🙂
